Île des Pins

Ferry landing ramp

On Île des Pins, a leading tourist destination in New Caledonia, there was a need for a safe and robust infrastructure to accommodate passenger ferries arriving from the main island. MSI supplied a floating concrete dock measuring 18 meters long and 4 meters wide, with a freeboard of approximately one meter, suitable for passenger operations. The solution was designed to minimize environmental impact and adapt to the operational constraints of a remote area; it was transported from Europe and secured using external piles. The result is a stable, durable infrastructure that respects the natural environment.
