French Navy in Mayotte

Quai Issouf-Ali, a pier for military patrol boats

The French Navy in Mayotte needed to replace its steel pontoons, which were plagued by high maintenance costs and excessive movement caused by waves and the harsh environmental conditions in the area. MSI installed SF1550 model floating concrete piers, 5 meters wide, anchored using a combined system of chains and elastic elements that allows them to adapt to tidal variations of up to 6 meters.
The solution provides greater stability, robustness, and reliability for mooring service and coastal patrol vessels and has demonstrated high resistance, maintaining its integrity even after exposure to cyclones.
